Root Canal

A root canal is a treatment performed on disorders of the nerve. When the pulp (nerve) becomes irritated and infected, bacteria will grow within the tooth pulp, causing pressure and pain. Sometimes the deterioration is so gradual that little pain is felt. As the disease process takes place, the bone surrounding the tooth may become infected and abscessed, which destroys the surrounding bone.

During the treatment, we ensure that we relieve any discomfort before removing the diseased pulp. The root canal area inside your tooth is cleaned, enlarged, and shaped. The pulp chamber may then be permanently filled and sealed. After the procedure is finished, the tooth has to be fully restored with a crown to protect and restore chewing functions.
