Our team oriented staff provides the most compassionate dental care by always placing our patient's best interest first. Each staff member is dedicated to making the patient's experience a rewarding one by using their knowledge, skills, and experience. All members participate in continuing education to ensure that we are always providing the best treatment for our patients.

Dr. Jennifer Strelow is a full time family practice dentist who provides care for all ages. She graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Strelow is also an affiliated faculty member at the University of Washington Dental School, since the fall of 2004, where she works with first year dental students in their dental anatomy and occlusion series. After returning to the Seattle area, Dr Strelow worked as an associate dentist before opening her own practice on Mercer Island in September of 2005. Dr Strelow is actively participating in courses at the Scottsdale Center for Dentistry to advance her education. Dr Strelow places emphasis on diagnosis, prevention, and complete dental care for all patients.

Dr. Strelow was a graduate of Auburn Senior High School in Auburn, WA. She left Washington after high school to move to Tucson, AZ where she obtained her B.S. in Health Education before pursuing her dental degree in Boston. Dr. Strelow also completed an externship program at the Oakland Park V.A. Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Fl.

Amir is a Dental Assistant at our Practice and has worked in the dental field for many years. Introduced to dentistry as a high school student, she enjoys the education and experience that she has developed over the years to provide excellent quality care for our patients. Amir has a great sense of pride knowing that our patients walk out of the dental office with a smile. It reconfirms her commitment in making sure our patients had a wonderful and pleasant visit.

In her spare time, Amir is a devoted mother of two beautiful little girls and is also raising her teenage brother. Her family is very supportive of everything she does and encourages her to pursue her dreams and ambitions. Her future goal is to one day own her own dental lab.

See is the newest member of our dental team and joins us as a Registered Dental Assistant with several years of experience. See is a graduate of the Lake Washington Dental Assisting program. See enjoys working with patients and has a great joy and sense of accomplishment while helping patients on a daily basis with all aspects of dental assisting.

On a personal note, See enjoys spending her spare time with her husband and 4 wonderful children.

Tove is one of the dental hygienists here at Mercer Island Dentistry. She has been a hygienist for many years, graduating in dental hygiene from the University of Washington in 1980. Prior to the UW, she received her A.A. degree in dental hygiene from Shoreline Community College. Believing the more education the better, she also completed the UW's MBA program in 1984.

After working in finance and marketing, she returned to the field of dentistry after her now teenage son was born. She lives on Mercer Island and enjoys having many friends and neighbors as patients.

When not at the office, Tove and her husband Michael enjoy hiking, Husky games, traveling and cheering for their lacrosse-playing son.

Carina is one of our registered dental hygienists, graduating from Lake Washington Technical College’s dental hygiene program in 2008. In 2003, Carina received a BA in Psychology from Western Washington University. Prior to being a hygienist, Carina spent 5 years working as a dental assistant and hygiene assistant.

In her spare time, Carina enjoys camping, skiing, reading and spending time with friends and family.

Deanna is our Office Practice Manager with over 19 years of dental experience including 13 years as a dental assistant. She has been with our office since we opened in September of 2005 and has a vast array of knowledge regarding the various computer programs and insurance networks utilized throughout Washington.

Deanna and her husband are native to the Seattle area and are happily raising their 2 daughters here as well. She is an avid volleyball player and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Mavis is our Office Treatment Coordinator. She has been in the dental field for over 22 years. As well as her extensive knowledge of dental insurance, Mavis is our resident expert on customer relations and approaches her job with great skill and joy. Her motto is "Why not have a little fun while you're working".

Away from the office, Mavis spends as much time as possible with her husband, children and grandchildren. She enjoys traveling, exercise and surrounding herself with friends and family.
